Harvest Day 2020

Harvest Day 2020 – Monday, October 26th

Many families in our school community reached out because they wanted to find a way for us to still be able to have our in-school celebrations during this difficult time. With the help of our PTA we will be hosting a school wide Harvest Day Event on Monday, October 26th. This event will be both In-Person and Virtual, allowing our families who wish to participate join in all or some of the activities. Students are encouraged to wear costumes to both the Virtual and In-Person events.

Virtual Events: Details with times and login instructions will be posted on our Learn At Home Page – pre-registration for our virtual events is NOT required.

  • Pre-Kindergarten – 2nd Grade: Virtual Interactive Storytime via Zoom
  • 3rd to 5th Grade: Virtual Monster Mash Dance Party Via Zoom

In-Person Event: Pre-registration is REQUIRED via Eventbrite (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/harvest-day-2020-tickets-124718132291Opens in a new browser tab) by Friday, October 16th.

Please sign up for specific time slot to visit our school yard and participate in the event while maintaining social distancing protocols. Students are encouraged to wear costumes and will receive an I-spy map to complete as they visit the following stations along path in school yard: Trick & Treat, Photo Booth, Harbor Learning Garden, and Pumpkin Picking.

Families who wish to attend are asked to:

  • Please respect all social distancing protocols.
  • Attend during your timed reservation.
  • Wear face coverings!
  • Bring a trick or treat bag for goodies.
  • Event is open to ONLY students of PS 59 and we are requesting that they are escorted by only ONE chaperone.
