We are excited to announce that on Friday, October 31st we will have our annual Harvest Day Celebration and Parade (weather permitting)! All members of our school community are encouraged to wear a costume, silly hat, our school t-shirt, or autumn colors. During the parade we will visit our neighbors at 350 Richmond Terrace for a trick or treating. Each child will receive a goodie bag that will be sent home with them in their backpacks.
How can our students participate safely during Harvest Day?
- Costumes must be appropriate for the school environment.
- Students must be able to walk through the hallways and stairs without any difficulty in their costume.
- Students must be able to use the bathroom without assistance.
- No accessories (swords, chains, etc), facemasks, heavy face make-up or fake blood allowed.
- We will not take on the responsibility of changing students into or out of their costumes.
- Students will be allowed to remove their costumes if they are wearing clothes underneath and are able to do it independently.
- Families can not come to the school before the parade begins to change their child into a costume.
How can families get involved?
- Families and friends are invited to attend our Harvest Parade.
- Students will come out through the main entrance, walk along Richmond Terrace to St. Peter’s Place.
- Students will visit 350 Richmond Ter for trick or treating and then return to school through our schoolyard.
- Families are encouraged to join us along the perimeter and cheer them on as they walk proudly alongside their classmates.
School-Day Activities - Students only
- Each child will receive a pumpkin from the PTA
- 3K to 2nd grade students will participate in Harvest themed Games activities during recess.
- 3rd to 5th grade students will be participating in a Dance Party during recess
