How to Get Involved:

• Run for an elected office: Learn more about the positions and nominate yourself or someone else here or scan below.
• Sign Up to lead a committee: Lead a team such as Let's Move, Fundraising, Pictures & More, visit here or scan below to learn more information.
• Volunteer for an upcoming event, we have Grown Up Day on June 5th. We need help setting up tents, picking up materials, preparing items and cleaning up. Reach out to Ms. Kristen if available at ps59@theharborviewschool.org or (908) 605-0240
• Attend Meetings: Join us for our next meeting on Thursday, May 15th at 6:30pm

We are currently seeking candidates for our Parent Teacher Association and Title 1 Parent Advisory Council

Our election nomination committee chairperson is Mindy Gersten.

We will be accepting nominations now through Tuesday, May 13th, we will announce the candidates on Wednesday, May 14th and elections will be held on Thursday, May 15th. We appreciate your consideration for serving and ask that you please complete the Willingness to Serve form. *Details for Officer positions here.

PTA, SLT and Title 1 PAC elections are coming soon! We are seeking a few parent volunteers to serve as our nominating committee to run elections and help establish next year's PTA. If you or someone you know is interested in joining this committee, please email ps59@theharborviewschool.org or call the main office at 718-390-2190 and ask for Ms. Kristen, Parent Coordinator. 

Nomination committee details:

• Meet virtual or in-person prior to April 10th PTA meeting to review election paperwork and details.
• Announce election details during April 10th PTA meetings
• Collect and review nominations received via google forms.
• Run elections on Thursday, May 15th at 6:30pm via zoom. 
• Please remember, those considering to volunteer for an elected board position are ineligible for this committee.
