⭐ Why students should use their DOE email
When students log in with their DOE @nycstudents.net account:
- They will be automatically placed into their correct breakout room for their class.
- Their teacher can identify them quickly.
- No renaming is needed.
This is the fastest and most accurate way to join remote classes.
If You Join Using Your Own Zoom Account
Families may join the meeting using their personal Zoom account, but:
- You must rename yourself with your child’s full name and class or grade.
Example: “Ava Rodriguez – 3rd Grade” - Select breakrooms and click the one for your class / grade
- If you join this way, someone from our team will assist you and move your child to the correct breakout room.
