Our Spring Parent-Teacher Conference will be held on Thursday, March 6th via ZOOM from 12:30pm-2:30pm and 4:00pm-7:00pm (by appointment only) . During your parent-teacher conference, your child’s teachers will share work samples and classroom observations as well as provide you with the opportunity to ask questions or to contribute information that could further support your child’s experience in school.

STARS Report Cards: Our teachers are working hard and preparing our first marking period report cards. Your child’s report card will include their progress and performance information outlined in our 2024/2025 HVS Grading and Promotion Policy. Report cards will be available on 3/6/25. They will be backpacked home and can be viewed online by visiting www.schoolsaccount.nyc and logging in with your email address on file with the school.

Promotion In Doubt Letters: During the month of February, teachers reach out and communicate if your child is at risk of not meeting the promotion benchmarks for their grade level. If your child receives a promotion in doubt letter, together we will come up with a plan to support your child. Please remember that this does not mean your child will be held over in the same grade, this just means that as of today your child is below grade level standards and we want to address these concerns collaboratively. Together we will work to support your child in being successful and reaching their full potential by the end of this school year.
We have already invited students to participate in our afterschool programs focused on academic intervention and test preparation. We will continue to support students participating in these programs until April.

Summer Rising: We urge families to sign up for Summing Rising. Students in Summer Rising will have access to both academic and enrichment programming over the course of the day. Academics will be provided by licensed teachers in the morning with enrichment activities such as Art, sports and play will be led by CBO staff in the afternoon. The application process opens on March 4th in MySchools.nyc . The deadline to apply on March 28th.
